Abstract

This session will introduce faculty to anti-racist teaching strategies as well as an intersectional approach which recognizes the multiple identities that students bring into our classrooms. It will highlight an active intentional process for equity and inclusion within the classroom that faculty can utilize. The session will be framed through a lens of relationship and community-building practices. Five faculty members will share from their current toolbox and the rest of the session time will be used to crowdsource strategies from the participating audience. Please come prepared to share strategies that have helped ALL students thrive in your classroom.
