Staying on Course: Understanding and addressing the retention challenge
(2015)
  • Michael L. Mathews, Oral Roberts University
Abstract
Keeping students on track and progressing toward graduation isn’t always straightforward. Despite all the economic and social benefits of completing post-secondary education, only 56% of students entering university successfully achieve their bachelor’s degree within six years. Similarly, only 29% of students who start a two-year degree program finish within three years.
