A key teaching innovation is that all the writing for my SWK 303 WAC course is done in one document, a Cumulative Assignments Portfolio (CAP). The CAP permits the instructor and student to see all their work and all ther responses to my feedback. It permits the student to revise and correct their work and periodically check on various aspects of writing improvement, such as proportion of passive voice sentences (see 44 on use of Word on Steroids). A few students at first are confused, but the following languague in the CAP and sylalbus explain the procedure. 

The following is the homework for this course. Just do one, save the CAP and send it to the assignment on Blackboard. Then do the next numbered assignment, save the CAP, and send the whole cumulative CAP with all homework to the next assignment, and so forth. 

In othe words, other than the Voice Thread, all the work in this course is in this one document, called the CAP (Cumulative Assignment Portfolio). You keep saving and uploading with each assignment, with all work done so far included in each submission.
