About Meredith Doench

Meredith Doench is a lecturer in the Department of English. She earned her B.S. in Special Education from Ball State University and her M.A. in English from the University of Dayton. She earned her PhD in English with an emphasis in creative writing fiction from Texas Tech University, in Lubbock, Texas. Dr. Doench’s areas of focus in her fiction and creative nonfiction work deal with sexuality, gender, and social justice issues. Her first novel, Crossed, deals with issues of sexuality, Ex-Gay Ministries, and conversion therapy. Dr. Doench also served as one of the fiction editors for Camera Obscura: Journal of Literature and Photography.
