(1996)
  • Mensah Adinkrah, Dr.
Abstract
Violent Encounters examines key aspects of homicide in Fiji society. Through the analysis of data spanning more than one decade, the author describes the major features of homicide in Fiji. Detailed descriptions of several homicide cases are provided to illustrate the complex social, cultural and economic factors that contribute to homicide patterns in the country. This book will be valuable not only to students of social science and law, but also to criminal justice professionals and lay persons who wish to enrich their understanding of the forces that lead some people to kill others.
