This workshop will expose the synergistic relationship between science and literacy that allows seamless connections across the two disciplines (Barber, Catz & Arya, 2006). Attendees will participate in integrated science and literacy lessons that are inquiry-based and aligned with a 'Balanced Approach' to literacy. Time will be devoted throughout the workshop for participants to reflect on and re-imagine their current science and literacy instruction.
