About Melissa Morris

Over 10 years experience in Simulation for Health Care Education. Started as a simulation operations specialist and built upon that role developing simulation and faculty development best practices in the College of Nursing entry level program from 2010-2018 before moving to the Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Heath Care Sciences (PCHCS) .
Support and develop simulation activities, aligning to best and current practices for the PCHCS which encompasses 9 disciplines (AA,AT,Aud, ExSSc, OT,PA, PT,RT, SLP, Sono) on 6 campuses using all the modalities that health care education simulation has to offer.
Currently co-teaching with the performing arts faculty, the Health Care Theater course which prepares undergraduate Nova Southeastern University (NSU) students on the Ft. Lauderdale campus to perform as Standardized Patients for the Health Professions Division and the Tele-presence course in the Doctor of Health Sciences on line program.
The SP simulation chair for the NSU Health Professions Division (HPD) Research and Education for Collaborative Health inter professional activities, and member of the PCHCS Tele-health committee.
Collaborate with many of the health professional education programs with the HPD as well as NSU community to incorporate Tele-health principles and simulation best practices into current curriculum via simulation for health professional education and inter-professional activities. .
