Abstract
Maintaining a continuous flow down the marine science STEM pipeline is vital to research. Success of the student not only relies on the education received at the graduate level, but what foundation has been created in their previous education. Failure to capture these gaps in the admissions process can hamper completion of the STEM graduate degree. This presentation reviews the marine science admissions process and recommends best processes for success of the student.
