Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent workplace relocations have reshaped the way that employers recruit, train, and mentor their lawyers. Hybrid work has made it more challenging to join a legal team, and more complicated to run a legal team. Two years into the pandemic, it is clear that hybrid is here to stay. In this environment, how can new attorneys maximize their success in applying to legal jobs, and integrating into them? How can managers and leaders build their cultures, train lawyers, and mentor new hires? In this two-part series, our expert panelists will analyze these questions. Attendees will leave with practical advice and best practices. Panel One will consider these issues from the perspective of applicants and new hires. How can you learn about an organization virtually? If you’re integrating into a firm, department, or organization that's remote or hybrid, how can you maximize your success? How can you find colleagues and mentors? And how do you maintain a healthy work-life balance and avoid early burn-out?
