LGBTQ History is American History

Abstract
LGBTQ history is a facet of American history that has traditionally been excluded—whether through lack of study or through censorship—from our narrative. This exclusion has led to an incomplete understanding of the history of our country, ranging from the everyday lives in U.S. towns and cities to social movements that have changed the direction of the entire nation.
