About Meg Miner

As the University's Archivist, I establish policies and processes for adding any type of record to IWU's University Archives, including born-digital University records to our institutional repository Digital Commons @ IWU ( This work includes helping campus administrators, departmental offices and all levels of campus governing groups to identify appropriate records retention processes that will satisfy future questions about IWU history. I also help cultivate interest in IWU's history among alumni, students, faculty and administrators by arranging and providing access to University records in physical and digital formats. Recent areas of research interest include the habits of collectors and teaching with physical and digital primary sources.

As a Librarian, I have selection and curation responsibilities for Special Collections and serve as the library's liaison to the the Departments of History and Religious Studies; programs for American Studies, Greek & Roman Studies and Women & Gender Studies; and to the School of Nursing and Health program.
