About Meg Miner

As the University's Archivist, I help cultivate interest in IWU's history among alumni, students, faculty and administrators by arranging and providing access to University records in physical and digital formats.
I also establish policies and processes for adding born-digital University records to our institutional repository Digital Commons @ IWU (http://digitalcommons.iwu.edu). This work includes helping campus administrators, departmental offices and all levels of campus governing groups to identify appropriate records retention processes that will satisfy future questions about IWU history.
I have selection and curation responsibilities for Special Collections and serve as the library's liaison to the History Department and School of Nursing.
My research interests include the role of donors in digital record acquisition and longevity and the impact digital collections are having on archivists’ selection practices.
