About Matthew Sag

Matthew Sag is a Professor of Law and the Associate Director of the Antitrust and Consumer Law Institute at Loyola University of Chicago.

His research focuses on the intersection of law and technology, especially as it relates to copyright law. Prof. Sag is particularly well known for his empirical studies of IP litigation and his work on copyright law and the fair use doctrine. His scholarship combines empirical and legal methodologies. Prof. Sag teaches courses on Property, Copyright, International IP, Internet law, Trademark, Entertainment law, IP and Antitrust, an IP Survey course and an online course in IP for Competition Lawyers.
