Abstract
The USF Libraries are embarking on an ambitious, and strategic, hiring plan. Over the next five years, it is anticipated that roughly 50 new employees will join the Libraries to enhance, support, and sustain both new and upcoming initiatives. A Mentoring Program Exploration Group (MPEG) was established to consider how faculty and staff at the Tampa Campus Library can establish and maintain a culture of mentorship among all library employees. The group of four subject specialists determined that such an endeavor is possible with: the right groundwork; strong commitments of participation from potential mentors and mentees; and continuous assessment.
