Abstract
Presents the results from data of a panel of pre- and post-treatment assessments of the Fund for the Improvement of Post-secondary Education project, the Civic Capacity Initiative. Background on the initiative; Responses relating to community issues that matter to students; Propositions regarding the politics of place, role of the private sector in civic engagement and the ways the media might be a civic agent in undergraduate courses.
