About Mary Ingle, PhD, MPH

Dr. Ingle is a Research Scientist Associate at the Advocate Aurora Research Institute. Prior to working with the Research Institute, Dr. Ingle’s work focused on the impact of environmental exposures on reproductive health using several existing longitudinal cohorts. She has focused on the impact of legacy and emerging flame retardants on couples undergoing in vitro fertilization in the Environment and Reproductive Health (EARTH) Study and adverse pregnancy and birth outcomes among women in the Puerto Rico Testsite for Exploring Contamination Threats (PROTECT) Study.

Since joining in the Advocate Health Research Institute in 2020, Dr. Ingle has expanded her research into health disparities, cancer epidemiology and chronic health. She serves as the Principal Investigator for several cancer studies and has provided methodological, and statistical support for other projects. Dr. Ingle holds a PhD in environmental epidemiology from the University of Michigan, an MPH concentrating in epidemiology from SUNY Albany, NY and a BS degree in community health education from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. 

Research focuses include reproductive health, environmental health, and cancer epidemiology.
