About Maryam Omari

Maryam has 20 years of work experience in academia. She has held a number of academic leadership positions including: Program Director MBA and Graduate Studies, Associate Dean International, Director of Undergraduate Studies and Human Resource Management Course Coordinator. Maryam has been involved in significant curriculum change at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels to modernise and reposition courses such as the MBA, Bachelor of Business and HRM programs. Maryam has a PhD, Masters in Human Resource Management (HRM), Graduate Diploma in Business Management and a Bachelor of Science.
Maryam is currently on the Board of ConnectGroups; a member of the WA Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) State Council; the WA representative on the AHRI Research Advisory Panel (RAP); the Chair of the International Management Stream of the Australia New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM) annual conference; and a Judge for the annual Telstra Business Awards.
Maryam has 17 years of human resources experience, with the last seven at an Executive level as an HR Manager. She has worked in various HR capacities including: training and development, recruitment and selection, coordination of graduate programs, organisational development, program evaluation, project management and strategic planning.
Maryam has significant experience in the design, delivery and evaluation of Executive Education and Management Development programs.
Maryam has taught Human Resource Management, International Business and Management. She has lived, studied and worked in the Middle East, U.K and U.S.A.
