About Mary Alice McNeil

Mary Alice McNeil has a 30-year record of professional achievement in consulting, management training, teaching and administration.   She has been a faculty member at St. Mary’s College School of Economics and Business (SEBA), since 1992.  She teaches Management Communication in the graduate business programs (PMBA, EMBA, and GEMBA) and is the Business Administration Program Director for undergraduates.  Additionally, she taught at the International Business School of Styria in Graz, Austria in 2007 and 2009.  She received a 2015 Outstanding Teaching Award for SEBA.
She is known for her engaging style of facilitating groups and delivering passionate presentations and seminars.  In addition to teaching, she is a consultant with McNeil Training Strategies.  She custom designs training material to enhance the communication and leadership skills of managers to capture business opportunities and personal growth.  Some of her recent clients include: Patelco Credit Union, East Bay Regional Parks District, PG&E, Chevron, the California Tissue Donor Network, Kovarus, VISA International, Landor Associates, and the Association of Junior Leagues, Int’l.
Mary Alice has presented her work extensively throughout the United States and conducted training in Hong Kong, Mexico City and Europe.  Previously, she held management positions at Williams Sonoma, Inc., Bank of America, and Sullivan Pharmaceuticals, Inc.  She also enjoyed academic posts at John F. Kennedy University, the University of Virginia and the University of Michigan.  McNeil received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley and her Master’s degree from the University of Michigan.
