AbstractSummary: Artifacts in Mohs sections can be the result of surgical technique, mounting, processing, or staining. Artifacts, especially cautery and freeze artifacts, can mimic tumor. Understanding the cause of artifacts can be important in preventing or correctly interpreting them.
