AbstractThis review identifies frozen section artifacts created during Mohs surgical techniques, marking and orientation of tissue, tissue mounting and processing, slide preparation, and deposition (foreign body) artifacts. It discusses ways to prevent such changes and illustrates examples of artifacts in frozen section preparation.
