AbstractThe article discusses Asian influences on American culture, which is most apparent in the areas of sports, cuisine, architecture and entertainment today. The influence of Asia on Western society is not a new phenomenon, though. Some of the earliest influences came in the introduction of Chinese technologies such as paper, porcelain and gunpowder. Asian philosophy and Asian-influenced art have also become widely popular in the 19th century United States.
