About Martin Mathews

I completed my thesis at the University of Chester on the subject of Trust in Industrial Districts (or Clusters). It was in many ways two thesis's; one on trust, the other on the competitive advantages of districts or clusters.
I have continued working on these two themes. The crossover point being inter-firm networks and their dynamics.
I am interested in networks, the economic advantages and dynamics of clustering and the ultimately unanswerable question of why we trust.
Other research interests include trust in groups and trust in leaders and reciprocity.
