About Martin David Rokeach

Music Theory, European Music History, Jazz and Blues History, Chamber Music, World Music
A member of the Performing Arts Department since 1984, composer Martin Rokeach has written music for orchestra, wind symphony, voice, chamber ensembles, solo instruments, and film. His works are widely published, have been performined in more than twenty foreign countries, and have earned honors in fourteen national and international competitions. Upcoming performances include a world premiere with the Oakland Symphony and concerts in New York, Denver, Flagstaff, and Zagreb, Croatia. Prof. Rokeach's music has been performed throughout the United States, Europe and Australia. He has been commissioned to write music for the California Music Educators Association, the Left Coast Ensemble, Northeastern University School of Music and the California Association of Professional Music Teachers.
