AbstractThrough my experience as a student of qualitative research, I was able to explore the concepts of phenomenology through the process of making a mobile. This learning activity helped me to gain a deeper appreciation for the method and my role as researcher. As a novice qualitative researcher and an experienced instructional designer, I will share this “origin” story and other ideas for designing learning activities that employ aesthetics and visual presentation to teach qualitative research.
