About Martha E. Meacham
Martha Meacham, MLIS, MA, is an Education and Outreach Coordinator with the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NN/LM) New England Region based at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Martha received her Master of Science in Library and Information Science, and a Master of Arts in History, with an emphasis on medical history, from Simmons College in Boston. Martha has worked in a variety of medical settings including in the Patient Resource Library at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, with the Association of American Medical Colleges, and in VA medical centers. Martha is interested in education, evaluation, and marketing for libraries. Martha was the recipient of the New Voices Award for her presentation at the 2012 Medical Library Association conference in Seattle. Previously, Martha earned her BS in Psychology and worked as a mental health counselor. Martha is a member of Beta Phi Mu, the International Library & Information Studies Honor Society, and Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology.
