About Marshall Marcus, MD, FACC

Dr. Marshall Marcus is a cardiac electrophysiologist (EP) who is triple board certified in clinical cardiovascular electrophysiology, cardiovascular diseases and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

He was born and raised in central Florida but his education has taken him around the world. He holds a bachelor's degree in physics and astronomy from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He then studied medicine at the Sackler school of medicine / American program at Tel Aviv University where he earned his doctorate degree in medicine (MD). Following medical school he completed residency at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University / Sinai Hospital of Baltimore program in internal medicine - home of the first implantable cardiac defibrillator (ICD).

He returned to Florida to complete fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of South Florida. He then did two years of advanced fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Florida in Jacksonville and at Lenox Hill Hospital and HCA Florida Northside Hospital. He trained to performed complex catheter ablation for cardiac arrhythmias, pacemaker implantation, defibrillator implantation, and laser lead extraction under the mentorship of Dr. Laurence Epstein, a world renowned pioneer in lead extraction. Dr. Marcus speaks Spanish, Hebrew and Italian.

For recreation Dr. Marcus enjoys traveling, cycling, racquetball, and water sports.
