Marshall University School of Music to host Eleventh Annual Festival of New Music,
February 27-28, 2020.
 
Huntington, W.Va –Marshall University School of Music will host its Eleventh Annual Festival of New Music on Thursday and Friday, February 27-28, 2020.  The festival will feature the music and performances of festival guest composers, and Marshall University composition students. Three Festival concerts feature solos, chamber music, electro-acoustic music, and film with performances taking place at the First Presbyterian Church, Smith Recital Hall on the Huntington campus, and Black Sheep Burrito and Brews.
   Featured guest performers are Richard Kravchak, Johan Botes, Júlio Alves, Eric Simonson, Anthony Almendárez, Will Radford, Mark Zanter, Marshall University students, Mark Snyder, and Roxann Morgan Rowley whose dance troupe Next Reflex Dance Collective will perform on the Thursday evening concert.

Thursday, February 27, 2020:
Concert One: Guest Artist Richard Kravchak, oboe
12:00 Noon MUsic Alive, First Presbyterian Church, 1015 Fifth Avenue, Huntington, WV
A chamber music concert featuring guest artist, Dr. Richard Kravchak and new works for oboe and fixed media.
 
Concert Two: Collage
7:30PM Smith Music Recital Hall, works by Eric Simonson, Mark Snyder, Roxann Morgan Rowley, Next Reflex Dance Collective, Mark Zanter, and MU Student Composers.
 
Friday, February 28, 2020
Concert Three: Electrifest
9:00PM Black Sheep Burritos and Brews
Electronic and Multi-media works by John Shuff, Anthony Almendaréz, Timothy Moyers, Mike Waldeck, and Mark Zanter
