About Mark W. Tomlinson, MD

Dr. Tomlinson was raised in Sault Ste. Marie in Michigan's upper peninsula. He received his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit.

Dr. Tomlinson completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California and following the residency, it was time to pay back a commitment to the U.S. Air Force. An assignment in Anchorage, Alaska came as a real shock after four years of living in California. However he and his wife loved Alaska, and the practical medical experience he gained there was invaluable.

In 1991 he was board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Tomlinson returned to Wayne State University for his subspecialty training in maternal-fetal medicine. He then joined the medical school faculty teaching obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine. In 1997 he was board certified in maternal-fetal medicine.
