About Mark Powell, Ph.D.

Mark E. Powell, originally from Conyers, Georgia, has served as a faculty member at Harding School of Theology since 2002 and became Dean of the school in 2021. He has taught courses in theology, church history, ethics, and philosophy of religion. He is a shepherd at the Sycamore View Church of Christ in Memphis, Tennessee and his ministry experience includes preaching, urban ministry, and adult education in Tennessee, Georgia, and Texas. He is the author of several books, chapters, and journal articles with research interests in religious epistemology, the doctrine of the Trinity, and theology in the Stone-Campbell Movement.
