Abstract
The Healthy Campus Initiative was funded by a $200,000 grant by Kaiser Permanente San Jose’s Community Benefit program, which was given to SJSU earlier this semester. The initiative is aimed at changing institutional policy in regards to nutrition on campus, said Marjorie Freedman, nutrition food and science professor and one of the coordinators of the initiative. “We want to know if we change the food environment on campus, will students eat differently,” Freedman said.
