Urban development and local politics in the city of Turin have been deeply influenced, especially between 1969 and 1976, by the role and growth of urban conflict. A wide range of actions took place in those years: meetings and demonstrations organized by Community Committees (Comitati di mrtiere), occupation of houses by Action Committees, refusal to pay the full fare for public transport (Au toriduzione), etc .
