About Marilyn O'Mallon

Dr. Marilyn O'Mallon started at Boise State University in 2011 and is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing, as well as the Program Director for the RN to B.S. Online Completion Track, and the Interim Program Director for the Pre-Licensure Track. She received her Associates, Bachelors, and Masters Degrees in Nursing from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Georgia, and her Ph.D. in Nursing from Hampton University focusing on Family Focused Research. Her dissertation research concentrated on caregiver perceptions of social support and family relationships in times of bereavement. Prior to entering the academic setting, she worked 16 plus years in military health care facilities in the United States and Germany. Dr. O'Mallon's specialty areas of interest are palliative/hospice care, bereavement care, mental health nursing, perioperative care, and family practice.
