Dr Marijne Medhurst BSc, MSc, PhD, is a Research Fellow in the Centre for School and System Improvement [CSSI] at the Australian Council for Educational Research. Marijne’s expertise is in inclusive education and classroom assessment. She has particular interest in accessible pedagogical and assessment practices, as well as school-wide inclusive reform. Marijne has previously worked as a research assistant in academia (Australian Catholic University, Queensland University of Technology) and the not-for-profit sector (AEIOU Foundation) on various projects related to inclusion, assessment, and autism spectrum disorder. She has further worked as a tutor, marker and guest lecturer at undergraduate and Masters level (Queensland University of Technology). Marijne possesses strong qualitative research skills, and has experience with conducting literature reviews, case studies and thematic analysis. Marijne has contributed to multiple academic publications, including an edited book on Inclusive Education. In her role at ACER’s CSSI, Marijne is working across national and international projects on school improvement with a focus on inclusion.
