About Manju Ahuja

Manju Ahuja is Professor and University Scholar in the CIS Department at the College of Business, University of Louisville, Kentucky. She has previously held faculty positions at the Kelley School of Business (Indiana University), Florida State University, and Pennsylvania State University. Her publications have appeared in journals such as MIS Quarterly, Management Science, Information Systems Research, Organization Science, Journal of Management, European Journal of Information Systems, Journal of MIS, Journal of AIS, and many other outlets.

Manju is a Senior Editor at Management Information Systems Quarterly. She has served in editorial roles at many elite journals including Management Information Systems Quarterly Senior Editor, 2014-2016, Associate Editor, 2010-2013), Information Systems Research (Associate Editor, 2006-08), Management Science (Guest Editor), Journal of AIS (Review Board Member and Guest Editor).

She was Division Chair (2011-12) of the Academy of Management’s OCIS division and Program chair for this division in 2010. She also served as Placement Chair for the International conference on Information Systems Conference (ICIS) and Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS) in 2010. She is actively involved in research on issues related to impacts and use of IT, innovation related to IT, virtual communities and teams, effects of mobile technologies, as well as management of human resources in IT professions.

Manju has held visiting scholar appointments at premier institutions across the world, including HEC (Paris), National University of Singapore, University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia), Bocconi University (Milan, Italy), University of California (Irvine), and the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She has received three National Science Foundation grants for over one million dollars for her research on IT workforce issues. Her research has been cited by publications such as Wall Street Journal, Times of India, Strategy+Business, and Computerworld.
