Abstract
Experiments were conducted to study the physical characteristics of soybeans sorted by a gravity separator. The sorted fractions differed significantly (P<0.05) in seed size as well as in seed mass. No significant differences (P>0.05) in seed specific gravity of the various fractions were found due to the high correlation between seed mass and seed volume. The lightest fraction had significantly (P<0.05) lower bulk density and was significantly (P<0.05) more brittle than the remainder of the seedlot.
