Abstract
In third-trimester pregnancies with uterine fibroids a slight decrease of serum transaminases to marginal physiological levels is observed. Serum levels of Glutamic Oxaloacetic Transaminase (GOT) or Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST) and Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase (GPT) or Alanine Aminostransferase (ALT) directly correlate to clinical symtopms and sonographic changes in fibroid nodules. The negative slope [m = (y - b): x] is greater in the AST cohort. The ALT curve is non-linear.
