About Mahta Moussavi

Mahta Moussavi is currently a postdoctoral researcher in Cooperative Agricultural Research Center (CARC) at PVAMU. Mahta earned her Ph.D. in Food Science from the University of Newcastle, Australia in 2012. Subsequently, she conducted her postdoctoral research at the University of California-Davis in the area of microbial food safety. She joined PVAMU in 2017. Her research focus is postharvest handling and safety of fruits and vegetables.
