About Maegan H. Beale

Maegan Harrell Beale received her B.A. in History with a minor in Anthropology from East Tennessee State University in 2012. She returned back to ETSU and earned her M.A. in History in 2014. When she’s not teaching, she’s an academic advisor for the College of Arts and Sciences. Her main research interests are 19th century American History with a special emphasis on gender and Southern Appalachian history. In her spare time she likes to travel, read historical fiction, try new recipes, and  hike with her husband (Samuel Beale) and her dog, Rosie.
