Abstract
Grappling with disruption has become a way of life for libraries. Budget cuts, technological change, and the explosion in publishing have many library leaders on the defensive, reacting as best they can to the challenge of the day. In Library Management in Disruptive Times, seasoned journal editor Steve O'Connor attempts to provide these struggling library leaders with a little support and a little perspective. Built around the simple prompt, “What is the impact of disruption in libraries on your area of expertise?,” this slim volume pulls together the insights of library leaders from around the world, providing a managerial wake-up call that is relevant to libraries of every size and sector.
