Abstract
In today's dynamic library landscape, soft skills—things like networking, team building, creativity, and emotional intelligence—play an increasingly important role in our success as library professionals. Leverage those skills deftly and doors open; miss a cue and come up against the same obstacles repeatedly. In this context, Jamie Gray's Becoming a Powerhouse Librarian seems apt. Though written from the perspective of a medical librarian, Gray's slender volume is intended for a broad audience: any information professional—novice or veteran, management or front lines—looking to push themselves to the next level of librarianship.
