About Machaiah Madhrira, MD, MPH

Dr Machaiah Madhrira received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Mysore Medical College, India. He then came to the United States to pursue his Masters of Public Health and was conferred the degree from University of South Carolina, Columbia in 2004. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Nephrology Fellowship from Harlem Hospital Center, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York.
After completion of his training he moved to Tucson, Arizona where he worked as Assistant Professor of Medicine in Division of Nephrology at University of Arizona School of Medicine. He was Medical Director of home dialysis and Hemodialysis clinics at Dialysis Clinic Inc during his stay in Arizona. He has also been a Fellow of American Society of Nephrology since 2009. He is currently ABIM Board Certified in internal medicine and nephrology. His areas of interest are Acute Kidney Injury, Glomerulonephritis, Kidney Stones and Transplantation and has several publications in reputed journals and book chapter in these areas. He enjoys teaching and is well respected by his peers.
He is happily married and has two wonderful sons. When he is not working, he enjoys watching movies and spending time with the family.
