About M. N. Rahaman

Dr. Mohamed (Len) N. Rahaman, Professor Emeritus of Ceramic Engineering in the Materials Science and Engineering Department at Missouri University of Science and Engineering joined the university in 1986, He was director of the Center for Biomedical Science and Engineering from 2008 to 2016.

Dr. Rahaman has authored or co-authored over 275 journal articles, has 100 presentations since 2000, and has twelve patents and other intellectual property. His areas of research interest are processing, sintering, and microstructure control of ceramics; thermal barrier coatings: sintering and phase transformation; powder metallurgy processing of titanium aluminides; and biomaterials and orthopedic tissue engineering.
