About Lynnise E. Pantin

Lynnise E. Pantin is an Associate Clinical Law Professor and the founding Director of the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Clinic at Boston College Law School.  This in-house corporate law clinic is a blend of transactional lawyering, innovation and entrepreneurship.  Her scholarship focuses on clinical legal education, entrepreneurship and economic justice. 

Prior to joining the faculty at BCLS, she was the co-founding Director of the Transactional Law Clinic at New York Law School, where she taught Legal Practice in addition to the Clinic and directed the Social Entrepreneurship Initiative of the Impact Center for Public Interest Law & Advocacy. Before joining NYLS, she was an adjunct instructor of Legal Writing at Brooklyn Law School.

Professor Pantin began her legal career as an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, where she practiced corporate and securities law in the investment management group within the firm’s corporate department. She advised private investment funds, their sponsors, and investors in all matters related to the formation and operation of domestic and international funds. She also advised non-profit organizations and small businesses on business transactions, formation issues and governance and regulatory compliance.

Professor Pantin has always been interested in teaching. Prior to becoming a lawyer, she was an elementary school teacher in Washington, D.C. Professor Pantin earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School and her B.A. in Media Studies from Pomona College.
