About Lynn Klock

Recipient of B.M. and M.M. degrees from the University of Michigan, Lynn Klock's teachers included Lawrence Teal, Donald Sinta and Jack Kripl. A frequent soloist and recitalist throughout the U.S. including a Music from Marlboro 1991 East Coast tour, he has toured Poland, and the American and British Virgin Islands. Klock was the first saxophonist to appear on the Warsaw Philharmonic Recital Series. He has been a guest soloist with the Springfield (MA) and New Hampshire Symphonies, the West Coast Chamber Orchestra, Wantastiquet Chamber Players, and many of the nation's university bands.
A performer on the Marlboro, Mohawk Trail, Monadnock, and North Country Chamber Music series, he premiered works for saxophone written by Pulitzer Prize winning composers Gunther Schuller, John Harbison, Lew Spratlan, and by composers Hsueh-Yung Shen, Salvatore Macchia and Catherine McMichael. A member of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, he has recorded for CRI, Orion, Mark and Open Loop. He also has served on the faculties of the University of Toledo, Olivet College and the Hartt School of Music.
