About Yi Lu

My research involves the applications of econometric methods on subjects in economics, law, health, and industrial organization. Currently my work addresses: (1) the effects of medical malpractice liability on treatment intensity, patient health outcomes and its welfare implications; and (2) the nature and effects of healthcare provider competition under the influence of quality information availability, medical malpractice liability and managed care.
