About Lori Howard

Dr. Lori Howard is Associate Professor of Education at Marshall University. Dr. Howard earned her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Virginia with additional specializations in teacher education, collaboration, and learning. Prior degrees include an M.A. in Audiology from the University of Northern Colorado and a B.A. in Communication Disorders from the University of the Pacific.
Dr. Howard’s publications include works on effective special education teaching, students with disabilities, and both team- and co-teaching. Additionally, she has earned grants from the Carnegie Foundation, the U.S. Department of Education, and the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission (WVHEPC). In 2015, Dr. Howard was honored with Marshall’s Pickens-Queen Teaching Excellence Award.
