AbstractThe how and why of assessment still eludes many in the area of visual literacy. The researchers aim to provide a theoretical foundation for why current assessment practices should be examined in light of the current changes to curriculum offerings. The paper outlines current research being undertaken into test development for measuring outcomes to check for improved student learning. The paper will explore both the success and failure of the methodology, examining both quantitative and qualitative responses.
