About Lori Langdon

Dr. Langdon was born here in Harnett County, attended school in Coats, then attended the NC School of Science and Math in Durham for junior and senior years of high school. She obtained her B.S. in Zoology, summa cum laude, from NC State and then obtained her M. D. from Duke University School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and then returned home to NC. Before joining CUSOM in August of 2022, she had practiced primary care pediatrics in rural areas for 24 years. She currently practices at Premiere Pediatrics in Lillington. Her areas of interest include the importance of vaccines, combating disinformation on the internet, adolescent depression and anxiety, breast feeding, judicious use of antibiotics, ADHD, and asthma. She strives to follow evidence based guidelines.

Dr. Langdon is active in the NC Peds Society and is proud of all that they have done to improve child health in NC. She serves on the Harnett Health Foundation as well as the Harnett County Board of Health. She enjoys speaking with the media to promote science and public health measures. She is also happy to speak at schools, civic groups, churches and graduations.

She and her husband, Mark, have been married since 1988 and are active members of Coats Baptist Church. They have 6 children and 2 grandchildren.
