About Lisa Stewart

Lisa M. Stewart, holds a Ph.D. in Social Work and Social Work Research from Portland State University and is a Professor of Social Work in the Department of Social Work at California State University, Monterey Bay. Her research agenda is to develop healthy workplace interventions that reduce the health risks posed by decisional conflict based on contextual factors that negatively impact the safety, health, and well-being of vulnerable populations within the workforce. Her current CDC/NIOSH-funded study (K01OH012009-02) develops and tests an individual-level intervention that is to be paired with an organizational-level intervention that will support the safety, health, and well-being of a vulnerable group of workers, parents of children with mental health disabilities by reducing stress caused by decisional conflict, an environmental stressor.
