About Lisa J. Lehmberg

Lisa J. Lehmberg, Assistant Professor of Music Education, specializes in general music education, world music education and music education technology. Her research focuses on effective general music education and pre-service preparation for urban schools. Lehmberg has a Ph.D. Degree in Music Education from the University of South Florida, as well as Bachelor and Master of Music Degrees in Piano Performance from the University of Illinois. She has extended experience as a public school general music specialist, is a National Board Certified Teacher in Early/Middle Childhood Music, and has earned certification in Orff-Schulwerk. She was a presenter at ISME World Conferences, MENC Biennial In-Service Conferences, Biennial National Multicultural Music Symposiums, and at state MEA conferences in Florida and the Midwest. Her work has been published in Music Education International.
