About Lisa A. Giacumo

Dr. Lisa Giacumo started at Boise State University in 2015. She is an Assistant Professor for the Department of Organizational Performance & Workplace Learning. Dr. Giacumo received a Ph.D. in Educational Technology from Arizona State University, a M.S. in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology from SUNY University at Albany focusing on Instructional Technology along with a B.A. in French Studies with minors in Education and International Perspectives of Third World Countries. Her professional experience includes being a Contract Instructional Design & Training Consultant for Oxfam GB in Oxford, England and an Instructional Designer for the Apollo Group in Tempe, Arizona. She is currently a member of the American Educational Research Association and the Association for Educational Communications and Technology. Dr. Giacumo’s research interests include blended, online, distance, and eLearning, micro-credentialing and badges, as well as design based research among others.
